First Responder Support: Helping Yourself First

  • 12480 S. BlackBob Road Olathe, KS 66062 United States (map)

Leader: Alex Connelly, NREMT-P

Timing: This group meets on the first and third Monday of the month. Please join as you are able.

What is the group about? This is a support group for anyone who is currently or has been a First Responder or Emergency Personnel (Firefighter, EMS, Police, 911 Dispatcher, or Emergency Room Staff). The group is tailored to create an inclusive and safe space for First Responders to receive emotional and social support when sharing their stories about how their career has impacted their day-to-day lives. The goal is to provide support through shared experience and hear from those who may have been in similar situations and how they made it through. This is the perfect place to talk about anything you feel uncomfortable sharing with your family or co-workers, like how you felt about a call/patient, work stress, home life, etc.

Snacks and drinks provided.
